MV Trans Asia 2 Awarded 3rd Cleanest Vessel of the Year

MV Trans Asia 2 cinched the Cleanest Vessel of the Year 2006 award - 3rd Prize under Passenger / Cargo Vessel Category last December 18 held at the Bureau of Quarantine Conference Hall. The annual Cleanest Ship Contest is a project of the BQ open to all inter-island vessels regularly calling on the Port of Cebu. The contest covered a period of six months starting from July to December, with Inspection teams composing of several BQ personnels conducting random inspection between arrival and departure of vessels. Evaluation for the year 2006 included some requirements for a higher level of standard of Food Hygiene and Sanitation (HACCP or Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point).

MV Trans Asia 2 services the Cebu – Ozamis – Cebu route. The Management and Staff of Trans-Asia Shipping Lines joins Bureau of Quarantine in congratulating the crew of MV Trans Asia 2 for a job well done. With Trans Asia, talagang “At Home Ka Sa Biyahe.
