TRANS ASIA SCORES DOUBLE WIN
A sweet victory fitting to cap the year
end
Trans-Asia Shipping Lines, Inc. garnered two major awards
from the Bureau of Quarantine last December 16 at the
BQ office. M/V Trans Asia I was adjudged as Cleanest Vessel
of the Year 2005 – second prize under Cargo / Passenger
Vessel Category. The search for the cleanest vessel covered
a period of six months and was inspected by a team headed
by no less the Bureau’s Chief Emmanuel C. Labella,
MD, MHA of Cebu Quarantine Station.
Another plum award given to Trans-Asia was the Ship Health
Officer of the Year 2005 under Nurse Category. Mr. Erickson
Yap, RN of M/V Asia Malaysia sailed away with this much-coveted
award besting all other nurses from different shipping
companies.
M/V Trans Asia I services the Cebu to Cagayan route while
M/V Asia Malaysia serves Cebu to Iloilo. The Management
and Staff of Trans-Asia are very happy to note that the
Bureau of Quarantine has recognized their effort in promoting
