	Trans-Asia bags 3 awards from Department of Health and Bureau of Quarantine In the Department of Health’s annual contest for the search of cleanest vessels initiated by the Bureau of Quarantine, Trans-Asia Shipping Lines proudly bags a total of three (3) awards. The awarding affair was graced by DOH Director Susana K. Madarieta herself and headed by Bureau of Quarantine regional head Dr. Emmanuel C. Labella. MV Trans-Asia 2 was declared 2nd place cleanest vessel for the Year 2008 for the Cargo/Passenger Category. Two (2) vessel crews were also given special citation. Ms. Fexie Gurit, R.N. was awarded as the Ship Health Officer of the Year and Mr. Honorio Tumanda of MV Trans Asia 2 was awarded as Cook of the Year. It is with pride that Management thanks the award giving bodies for acknowledging and recognizing the efforts of vessels’ crews in making all Trans-Asia vessels an embodiment of our slogan “At Home Ka Sa Biyahe”!
