» Magellan's Cross – an octagonal shrine with a red-tiled roof that have paintings depicting the events of Magellan's visit on the ceiling.

» Basilica Minore del Santo Niño – the country's oldest church and the only basilica in the Far East. It contains the image of the Holy Child given by Magellan to Rajah Humabon's wife.

» Fort San Pedro – smallest and oldest Spanish fort in the country that served as core of the first Spanish settlement in the Philippines.

» Colon Street – the oldest street in the Philippines and is also the heart of downtown Cebu.

» Taoist Temple – located at Beverly Hills, a place where people climb 99 steps to light joss sticks and have their fortunes told.

» Magellan's Marker – erected in 1866 to mark the area where Magellan and his men died.

» Mactan Island – a coral island famous for scuba diving where beach resorts of international standards are located.

» Fuente Osmeña – a lovely circular park with a beautiful fountain in the middle named after Cebu's Grand Old Man, the late President Sergio Osmeña Jr.

» Jumalon Butterfly Sanctuary and Art Gallery – a display of lepido mosaic art collection, so called because it utilizes butterfly wings as its medium.

» Nuestra Señora de Regla – November 20-21; a religious and social event honoring the patroness of Opon.

» Kadaugan sa Mactan – April 22-27; series of events commemorating the historic battle of Mactan.
